Project Info

Manassas Tin Shingle Project

The embossed tin shingles appeared from approximately 1870s to late 1920s. This traditional roofing has proven to be quite durable when properly maintained. Owners of stamped tin shingles tended to embellish their homes, such as the witch's hat illustrates. This style of roofing were only installed from 1870 to the early 1930s. With proper prepping and application of appropriate coatings, these roofs still accent a vintage home in eye-catching colors.
